About us

Jardine Technology Limited

Jardine commands a leading world-wide position in providing innovative value added solutions to asset performance and risk problems in the Oil and Gas, Chemical, Power and Railways industries. This position has been achieved through the continued development and improvement of our advanced simulation technology and related applications.

Jardine Technology continues to develop and market sophisticated solutions to our client’s problems, with particularly emphasis on our leading edge simulation applications MAROS and TARO.

Our History

Jardine was originally founded in 1983 by Iain Jardine, and traded as Jardine Offshore Consultants Limited until 1986, when its activities were merged with those of Baker Process Systems Limited, to form Baker Jardine & Associates Limited.

In January 1994 and through a demerger arrangement, Jardine & Associates Limited commenced trading again in its own right.

In March 1996 a wholly owned subsidiary, Jardine & Associates Incorporated was formed and commenced trading in Houston, Texas.

On 31st March 1998 a new company Jardine Technology Limited was created to focus on Software Development.

A further addition to the organisation occurred mid 1999 with formation of Jardine/Caidmark (Malaysia) a joint venture with Caidmark Sdn Bhd to facilitate a more efficient support to Jardine project work for Malaysian organisations.

In January 2005 DNV recognised the strength of Jardines to provide asset performance improvement services to a number of industries using Jardine Technology Limited’s software tools and acquired the consultancy division with offices in the USA, UK and Malaysia.

Following the successful integration of the Jardine & Associates consultancy, Jardine Technology was acquired by DNV Software in August 2008.

The Present

Today, many of Jardine's clients are large multinational organisations, often working across broad industry sectors and geographies. These same organisations understand that sound asset and resource management are critical to success and continuously seek improved business solutions to the challenges they face through the incorporation of smart technology.

To date, Jardine has tended to focus on four principal industry sectors. Organisations in these sectors are experiencing change as they recognise the necessity to reduce costs and improve efficiency in order to remain competitive.

  • Oil & Gas
  • Petrochemicals (and Refining)
  • Transportation (especially rail)
  • Power Generation

Although the majority of its activity is generated from clients in the UK, USA, and Pacific Rim, Jardine's software tools are used successfully on assignments in all continents.

Our Future

Having pioneered the use of simulation processes in much of the offshore energy business for many years, it is not our intention to rest on our laurels. The company will continue to implement a detailed R&D innovations programme aimed at maintaining our leading edge in the provision of sophisticated software solutions to our clients.
